The developments of wireless communications technologies has only improve data transmission rate and reliability and enhance the system functions, but also expand application and service area. Because ARQ in IEEE802.16e standard does not require specific methods, we design the data transmission reception approach as well as the feedback options. The ARQ subsystem is based on Linux kernel v2.6 and Picochip-HDP hardware platform. The tests show that the new algorithm and ARQ mechanism can increase resource utilization.
